4th Annual Citizen's Municipal Academy Announced

The Citizen’s Municipal Academy is a unique educational program offered by the City of Bristol. It is a seven-week series of classes that will provide information on key City services. Participants will have a chance to meet and interact with city staff, and learn things about government that they’ve always wanted to know but didn’t know whom to ask! The Citizen’s Municipal Academy offers one session each winter that begins in January and ends in March. Classes will be held on Thursday nights, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A light snack will be provided prior to the start of each nightly class. Classes will be held at various city facilities.

Interested persons should complete and submit an application no later than Monday, January 9, 2012. Space is limited to 15 people. To be selected you must be a resident of Bristol, Tennessee and at least 18 years of age.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include: city services, community development, emergency services, city budget process and many other topics of interest.
