Are you a Storyteller?

Discover the Art of Storytelling, originally scheduled on Feb. 11, will be held March 11 at the Cameo Theatre on State Street in downtown Bristol. the February event was postponed due to inclement weather. The program will now be held from 10 a.m.-12 noon.

The program, geared for grades K-3, will feature Larry Kelley, a professional storyteller and workshop presenter from Chuckey, Tenn. He has a knack for getting people of all ages to fall in love with the art of storytelling. Some get hooked by his hilarious tales of humor. Others are captured by his inspirational or historical stories. Sometimes it is his unique style of delivery that convinces folks that listening to stories is the best family entertainment around.

Kelley has been entertaining and educating audiences for more than 16 years. His original Appalachian humor, stories from real life, children's stories, Christian stories, and unique twists on old favorite fables and yarns make him a crowd favorite.

He has a Master's Degree in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University where he has served as a part-time adjunct storytelling instructor for 10 years. His goal is to share performance-spirited stories that entertain, enlighten, and uplift listeners. He has performed for thousands of students and conducted workshops at various schools and colleges across the country.
