Bark in the Park and Beverly Hills Chihuahua

Promenading pooches will be prancing around the park on Thursday, August 8 when the City of Bristol Virginia Parks and Recreation Department presents Bark In The Park anda Movie. The event will be held in Cumberland Square Park; registration is at 6pm and the events begin at 6:30pm. Events include:
* Photo Booth — Have your dog photographed by the Twin City Photo Club for a nominal fee
* Contests — Best Trick, Largest & Smallest Dog, Best Dressed Dog, Sit & Speak, Most Hair, and Most Unusual. Awards will be presentd for 1st place, and ribbons given for 2nd and 3rd place. All contestants receive a participation ribbon. Bark in the Park t-shirts will be given to the first 35 to register (only one shirt per pet family).
* Pet parade — This kicks off at 6:30pm. A suggested donation of $1 is requested to participate in the walk with the first 40 participants receiving a Bark in the Park t-shirt. All proceeds are designated for the Black Jack Rescue Catahoula Connection. Walk alone or with your pet.
* Beverly Hills Chihuahua shown after dark!
Exhibitiors include: Pet friendly services, rescue groups, demonstrations, city dog licensing agency, and light concessions. Please note all pets must be leashed, vaccinations must be current, and must be kept under control. Rights are reserved to refuse a dog from participation if it is deemed to pose a threat to others or their pet. For more information, call 276-645-7370.
