Bob Seger Tribute Set for Downtown Center

June 04, 2012

The Full Moon Jam Concert and Tribute series continues on Thursday, June 7, 2012 after a great kick-off. The first in the event series saw almost 2,000 people coming to the Downtown Center to hear the tribute to Rod Stewart. The next tribute series will feature Silver Bullet a band playing tribute to the much celebrated and skillful musician, Bob Seger. The concert begins at 7PM on the grounds of the Downtown Center located at 810 State Street. There is no charge for the concert event.

Get in your car, turn on the radio, and start flipping the dial. No matter where you are, it won’t be long until you run across a song by Bob Seger. From classic rock to adult contemporary and even reaching into country formats, Seger’s unmistakable voice has established itself as a true American classic and a constant presence on the airwaves. As a songwriter, his compositions have been covered by artists from Metallica to Garth Brooks to Tina Turner. With a career spanning almost 40 years and nearing 50 million albums sold, Bob Seger is one of rock and rolls’ most enduring icons.

In the winter of 2005, Silver Bullet was born, complete with four part vocal harmonies, keyboards, and the lead singer playing an acoustic guitar just like the real Bob Seger. Outside the groups many talented abilities they also achieve a look that is just as prominent to the show as the music. “The lead singer is a point-on match for Seger complete with Seger’s well known costumes. Silver Bullet will give you the sights and sound that not only will top your idea of what a tribute to the legendary Seger should be but also your idea of what a true tribute to any act should strive for” said Darlene Cole, Venue Manager for the City of Bristol.

“We are looking forward to another great crowd. We will have additional seating for the event, but if you want to bring your own chair, please do so. As always, there will be no charge for the event,” continued Cole.
