Border Bash on State Street!

May 28, 2012

Set in Historic Downtown Bristol, Border Bash continues on June 1, 2012 in the 700 block of State Street. The evening’s events will start with children’s activities, crafters, and concessions at 6PM. Live music begins at 7:00PM with Humming House, followed by Todd Grebe & Cold Country. As always, Border Bash is free to the public!

"We're introducing our cities to some great talent with Humming House and Todd Grebe & Cold Country," says Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance Executive Director Leah Ross. "But what matters most is that families are making lasting memories Downtown at Border Bash. The music brings us all closer together."

The June 1st Border Bash will feature the music of Todd Grebe & Cold Country and Humming House:

Todd Grebe & Cold Country -A band that started in Alaska with the idea to play original honky tonk roots music that ranges from bluegrass to blues and beyond. Todd Grebe and Cold Country now reside in Nashville. Having just recorded an album there, the band is happy to be playing around town and is getting ready for an Alaskan tour this May. The band features the red hot fiddle action of Angela Oudean, the raging mandolin prowess of David long, the rock steady all night long bass thumping of Mike Bub, and the rowdy vocal styling’s of Todd Grebe.

Humming House — At once danceable and reflective, familiar and nostalgic, Humming House is a musical experiment gone right. Woven together from diverse backgrounds (Americana, classical composition, bluegrass, soul, and traditional Irish music), their playground of musical exploration has something for every generation. Unmistakable pop sensibilities mixed with a depth of lyrical narrative give their whimsical songs an irresistible quality that can only be described by the imagery of the name.

The event is hosted by Believe in Bristol, Birthplace of Country Music Alliance, and Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion.
