“Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker” – See the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer tell the events leading to Clara’s journey through the Snow Forest to the Land of the Sweets. Glorious dances such as the Snowflakes, Hot Chocolate, Arabian Coffee, Chinese Tea, Marzipan Shepherdess, Russian Trepac, Mother Ginger, and of course the Sugar Plum Fairy will be presented, along with Clara’s farewell after the finale. All the favorite dances and music you remember. Performance dates are Friday, December 7, 7:30pm — Saturday, December 8, 7:30pm and Sunday, December 9, 2:30pm. As a Bonus, “Cool Christmas” will be presented as the final act of this production. An original concept by Michele Plescia, this ballet is a collection of dances to familiar Christmas songs, most of which have a jazzy or more contemporary arrangement.
