BRRR Winners are....

More than 700 participants signed up for Saturday morning's Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center Bristol Rhythm 5k Run/2Mi Fun Walk, also sponsored by Kroger and Appalachian Wellness Chiropractic Center. Of the runners, J Penny crossed the finish line ahead of the pack at 16:00 in the male category, Molly Allen took home the prize in the female division at 19:04. Fun walker Michael Taylor came it at 22:04 of the men, Martha West was the walking-est female with a time 23.09.

The Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion's Kroger Chili Cook-Off, also sponsored by Bristol Tennessee Virginia Association of Realtors, signed up eight teams to compete on Saturday morning. First place went to 3-C-Sons, who also took home the prize for Tent Decoration, 2nd place went to Team B.W.O.I., 3rd Place finishers were Chili Con Karma. The Wimpy Chili Award went to Food Country, USA. 300 tasters came out to taste, naming Chili Con Karma as the People's Choice for great chili.

The Up Against the Wall Gallery Rockin' Stroll window decorating contest saw Holly Help Spay Neuter Fund take home Best in Show. When given the news Holly Help organizer Sue Williams told festival organizer that the $300 prize winnings would go a long way toward paying for pet surgeries. For the third year running blowfish emporium boasted Most Creative window, newcomer to Downtown Studio Six nabbed Most Festival Spirit, and locally owned dress shop Serendipity took home People's Choice. The Artists Choice Award goes to The Mad Hatter Salon for their grafitti display.

225 participants took part in the 5th Annual Twin City Photo Club Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Photo Competition. Now in a new location at 41 Piedmont Avenue, results of the contest and photos will be posted at BristolRhythm.com as soon as they come in.

The winner of the Capo's Music Store Larrivee guitar raffle is Wayne Sexton of Abingdon, Virginia. He came by the office to claim his prize, grinning ear to ear!

Congratulations to all the winners, and participants, who took part in the extra-curricular activites of Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion. Though primarily a music event, it's always the extras that add to the fan experience. A great deal of care and effort is taken by the Sponsors and volunteers who organize these events, The Reunion is grateful to all of them for their hard work and support.
