Appalachian Region AACA Car Show
Friday, August 10, 59 pm on State Street. A hot August night is the right time to cruise to downtown Bristol where State Street will be filled once again with classic cars for your viewing enjoyment. Bring a classic car or just the family for the fun and festivities! The show will be showcasing select famous vehicles, and the downtown merchants will be open for business so look for HOT BRISTOL NIGHT SPECIALS in restaurants and stores! Entry fee for cars is $5.00. Each car will receive a 50/50 chance ticket and t-shirt or dash plaque upon entry. All cars will enter on State Street from Commonwealth Avenue and exit from Lee Street after the show. Don't miss BLUESMAN & The Blues Essentials performing from 6-8 pm from the cruise-instage on 5th Street, Bristol TN (across the street from Machiavelli's).

Art D’Vine Gallery-Hop and Wine Tasting
Friday, August 10, 6–9 pm. The community is invited to stroll through Downtown Bristol, stopping at Kil’n Time, Benjamin Walls Gallery, CityMug, One Night Stand Gallery, 606 State Street Gallery, One of a Kind Gallery, Bridgeforth Design Studio and blowfish emporium. Each gallery will feature a different wine varietal that you can sample.

Bridgeforth Design Studio 29 6th Street, Bristol TN
Bridgeforth Design Studio welcomes Mumford and Sons and invites their fans to visit the studio to see the area’s largest selection of custom science fiction, fantasy, video game, and comic style art. Come by the working studio on Saturday, August 11, for a fun-filled day and see live drawing and painting demonstrations, and pick up a special edition Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Bristol poster.
As a participating gallery in Art D’Vine on Friday, August 10, Bridgeforth Design Studio will be holding a book signing with Bristol's own filmmaker and author, Stephen J. Semones. Semones will be debuting his new novel, The Wraith: Crossfire, based on a wildly popular Australian comic and series of books. Bridgeforth created front and back cover art for the novel, and will have poster prints available for purchase and signing during the Friday event. Also, on Saturday, August 11, 11 am–5 pm, attend a special book release party for Semones, who will again be signing copies of his new novel.

Bristol Public Library Corner of Goode Street & Piedmont Avenue, Bristol VA
Fun for all the family at the Bristol Public Library! From 9 am to noon on Saturday, August 11, there will be a variety of events held inside the library and at the plaza in front of the building. There will be local author book sales, buskers, gift shop sales, a coffee shop in the gallery, children’s events, and volunteer information.

One Night Stand Gallery 618 State Street, Bristol TN (former Ruth King Antiques)
As a participating gallery in Art D’Vine on Friday, August 10, 6–9 pm, One Night Stand will be featuring the work of three Virginia Intermont art students, Joey Blevins, Jerry Allen and Tyler Moreland, who painted the murals on the future Cultural Heritage Center building, located at 510 Cumberland Street.

Saturday, August 11, 11 am–2 pm: The Honeybadgers. They are a very popular local bluegrass band sure to entertain. They play original and classic bluegrass and southern rock covers.
Saturday, August 11, 2–10 pm: Open Mic. Local musicians are encouraged to perform. All shows are free until 10 pm!

Theatre Bristol will celebrate the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover tour by putting on a show that is sure to be talked about for a long, long time! Located at 506 State Street, the theatre will be steam-rollin’, with live music on the stage from 1 pm to 12 am on Saturday, August 11. In an effort to promote responsible drinking, Theatre Bristol will provide free bottled water to all designated drivers during the festival. In addition, Theatre Bristol will have a drawing for two theatre passes during the festival. Come by and enter to win. These passes will be good for all of the productions at the theatre for the remainder of 2012.
