2010 Caterpillar Carnival FUN!

JLB to host 3rd Annual Caterpillar Carnival on May 14!

May 10, 2011

The Junior League of Bristol is bringing the Caterpillar Carnival back for a third year in a row on Saturday, May 14. This event for children and families will take place in the lower parking lot of the Bristol Public Library from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The parking lot is located on Piedmont Avenue in Bristol, VA. This rain or shine event will include games and crafts, a bounce house, face painting and tattoos, free cookies, free books, and much more.

The Caterpillar Carnival is a celebration of the Caterpillar Crawl, a permanent scavenger hunt on State Street in Bristol. Five bronze statues are in Tennessee, five are in Virginia, and are based on the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle.

“We are very excited to be bringing the Caterpillar Carnival back to Bristol for a third time,” says Lark Adams, Caterpillar Crawl Chairperson for the Junior League of Bristol. “This fun event can be followed up by families doing the Caterpillar Crawl on State Street, and spending a fun and full day in our beautiful downtown area.”
