The Paramount Center presents TOONS AT NOON!!!

June 11……………The Bristol Music Club presents Young Peoples Concert The Each year, students from Bristol and the immediate surrounding area compete for this honored scholarship. The students are judged on their musical ability and the command of their discipline. The YOUNG ARTISTS’ performance will showcase the talent of these amazing young musicians in our region. This program is always an audience favorite.

June 18…………Bristol’s Own Dixieland Jazz Band For great music and toe tapping fun, let Bristol’s own Dixieland Band provide the sounds as they present New Orleans style jazz called Dixieland and will feature Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” plus old favorites, “Five Foot Two”, “Wolverine Blues”, “Hard Hearted Hannah”, and more. Come enjoy a wonderful hour of music!
June 25…………………Eugene Jones & Friends
“Tunes at Noon” will present a program of internationally diverse masterpieces for clarinet and piano, including works by Schumann, Vladiguerov, Schmitt, Still and Bernstein. Eugene Jones, clarinetist and Vickie Fey, pianist will perform. Mr. Jones is a clarinet instructor for East Tennessee State University and a founding member of the Paramount Chamber players. Ms. Fey is a member of the Paramount Chamber Players and Music Director at First Presbyterian Church, Bristol.
July 9………………………………………………Tim Landis, Basso
Bristol’s favorite bass, Tim Landis returns to the Paramount’s Tunes at noon stage to share an uplifting exploration of a uniquely American genre of music: The Negro Spiritual. Also, Landis will blend his basso voice with nationally renowned dramatic baritone, Mark Owen Davis, in a rousting duet. Come feel the spirit!!

July 16………………………Theatre Bristol Summer Camp
Theatre Bristol presents a summer camp showcase featuring the youthful talents of their campers with singing, acting and dancing learned through their session at Theatre Bristol’s Summer Theatre Camp.


July 23……………………………The Diamonds Jazz Trio
From East Tennessee, The Diamonds play swing, groove-fun, and Latin Jazz. The group consists of Sloan Hill who plays trumpet and flugelhorm. His lyrical style is a real treat! Glenn Diamond, on bass, brings the groove. His voice leans toward a smooth west coast cool sound and Morissa Diamond, on keys, grounds the band. Her beautiful voice and playing tends toward the new era of jazz, such as Nora Jones. Don’t miss this young exciting group!

July 30…………………Bristol, Virginia’s Senior Show Choir
This year's show entitled, "Celebrate, Good Times" promises to be one of their best yet. The musical stage show is centered around Kool and the Gang's hit song of the 1980's, Celebrate. Some of their acts will include; The Wizard of Oz cast, the Teletubbies, Smokey & the Bandit, Grandpa Jones & Minnie Pearl, a special dance routine to the rock n' roll hit Taking Care of Business plus much, much more. So get ready to Celebrate the Good Times with the Bristol Virginia Senior Show choir, come on!
