The Paramount Chamber Players to present Winter Romance

The Paramount Chamber Players (TPCP), joined by guest pianist Chih-long Hu, will present Winter Romance on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27. The Saturday performance will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in Mathes Hall, Room 107, at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. Sunday’s performance will be presented at 3:00 p.m. at The Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol.

Chih-long Hu, faculty at East Tennessee State University and internationally known pianist, will perform Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio no. 1 in d Minor with cellist Cherylonda Fitzgerald and violinist Catherine McGlasson. Flutist Rebecca Paluzzi will join Dr. Hu and Ms. Fitzgerald for Piece Romantique by Philipe Gaubert, a rarely heard work for flute, cello and piano. The balance of the program will feature Eight Pieces by Max Bruch performed by pianist Vicki Fey, violinist Alice Keith Knowles, and clarinetist Eugene Jones.

Dr. Craig Combs, a Bristol native who now lives and performs in London, directs The Paramount Chamber Players. Tickets for the February 26th performance at ETSU are $15/$10 for seniors and students, available at the door.
