Karla Bonoff with Nina Gerber
Karla Bonoff emerged as a singer songwriter from the Monday night hootenanny scene at the Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles. She wrote classic songs for artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Wynonna Judd and Bonnie Raitt, and contributed to films like Footloose. Many of Bonoff’s ballads are classics, including “All My Life,” “Someone to Lay Down Beside Me,” “Tell Me Why,” and “Lose Again.” Listening to Karla sing is like having an intimate conversation about secrets of the heart — you don’t want to miss a word!
Nina Gerber is the LeBron James of guitar players – everyone who plays with her gets better when she plays. She’s added her talents to the work of a wealth of wonderful artists, including Karla Bonoff, Peter Rowan, Nanci Griffith, Lucy Kaplansky, and Kate Wolf, with whom Nina started her musical career. Her album Good Music with Good People features outstanding performances with Jackson Browne, Eliza Gilkyson, and Bruce Cockburn, among others, all taken from the Kate Wolf Festival.
