Raspberry Pis are inexpensive, single-board computers ($10-$35 depending on the model) They are great for projects and education. On Wed Sep 11, we will make a Theremin:an electronic instruments that make sound by waving your hand through the air- their eerie sound is featured heavily in classic horror movies.

This Raspberry Pi version uses the Pi as computing power, a few electronics, and some simple programming. No prior electronic or programming experience needed, this is a great project for families or anyone ages 10+. All materials will be provided, but if you have your own Raspberry Pi, bring it with you. The workshop is free, but at the end you can take home your Theremin for $5 (Raspberry Pi NOT included). Please make a reservation at (276) 635-8790.
