Bristol announces Art in Public Places Winners

Art in Public Places (AiPP) and the Cities of Bristol, TN/VA will officially announce the winners of the sixth annual Outdoor Sculpture Competition as well as the winners of two additional competitions — Food as Art and Flowers as Art. The juror is Lorelei Stewart, interim director and a faculty member of the Museum Studies graduate program at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Winners of the sculpture competition include "Ararat" by Marvin Tadlock of Bristol, Va.; "Ender's Enigma" by Davis Whitfield, Mountain City, Tenn.; "When Stars Begin to Fall" by Charles Brouwer, Willis, Va.; "Arch 2" by Robert Levin, Burnsville, N.C.; "The Three Graces" by Hanna Jubran, Grimesland, N.C.; "Drekar" by Mark Connelley, Brevard, N.C.; "Prism Arc IX" by Carl Billingsley, Ayden, N.C.; and "Figures" by Adam Walls, Laurinburg, N.C.
