Sounds of Summer: Phantom

June 27 | Downtown Center


The Sounds of Summer Concert Series, formerly the Full Moon Jam, will start June 4th and run through September 26th. Concerts will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7-9pm from June — September at the Downtown Center (Country Music Mural), 810 State Street.

Bring a lawn chair or come early to grab one of the 350 chairs provided on-site. Refreshments are sold in the concessions area for a nominal fee. Clean, well-stocked restrooms also available.

The Diamonds

From East Tennessee, The Diamonds play a diverse mix of music, specializing in jazz standards. The group performs at various venues and events throughout the region, including weddings, parties, and restaurants. They have also volunteered at many nursing homes, assisted living homes, and charitable organizations in the area.

Annabelle's Curse

The Birthplace of Country Music presents another stellar RTE 23 Listening Room Concert Series featuring Annabelle’s Curse, performing in the BackYard at the Western Front Hotel in St. Paul, Virginia.

Tickets are $10 in Advance, $15 Day of Show. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

An indie-folk band from Bristol, VA-TN, Annabelle’s Curse formed in 2010 and has toured extensively, developing a devoted fan base throughout the southeast and mid-Atlantic. Annabelle’s Curse has supported acts such as Anderson East, Humming House, The Black Lillies, Birds of Chicago, and HoneyHoney. The band has been a staple at Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion and has also performed at Floydfest, Rhythm and Blooms, Rooster Walk, and Music City Roots.

Annabelle’s Curse is comprised of Tim Kilbourne (vocals, banjo, guitar), Carly Booher (vocals, mandolin), Zack Edwards (guitar), Travis Goyette (percussion), Tyler Luttrell (bass), and Kirk Bagnall (auxiliary percussion). They have released four full-length albums and one EP.

Creative & Crafty: Galaxies Rock!

The Bristol Public Library will host rock painting on Saturday, June 29, at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate summer reading and, of course, space! To participate, simply drop into the library anytime between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to help paint summer and space-themed kindness rocks to distribute around the BPL—including our community rock garden—and beyond!

The library will supply paint, brushes, rocks, and more, just bring yourself and a friend to get started!
