An Introduction to Oral History Methods Workshop

This Introduction to Oral History Methods workshop will explore the method of recording oral histories, or extended life story interviews. Taught by Virginia state folklorist Katy Clune, participants will gain an introduction to the ethics, techniques, technology, and processing of interviews. With nothing more than your phone and your curiosity, you can start recording the precious memories of family and community members around you. Clune will share her experience and advice based on interviewing hundreds of people in the last decade.
