Boot Scootin' History Special Exhibit

We’re thrilled to announce that our latest exhibit, Boot Scootin‘ History: The Craft and Stories of Cowboy Boots, opened this Tuesday, October 14 to the public! Check out our gallery of photos from the opening reception and see how these beautiful creations can be both art and function.

Join us at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum now through April 6, 2026 in the Special Exhibits Gallery to explore the fascinating history and artistry behind cowboy boots. Created by bespoke boot maker Lisa Ranee Sorrell, this exhibit showcases more than 35 stunning pairs of boots, each with its own unique story and connection to country music. Dive into the rich tradition of boot making through engaging displays that reveal the materials and techniques used, and learn about the significant role cowboy boots play in the music we love.
