State Street Farmer's Market 25th Anniversary “Christmas in July” Extravaganza

Two of our favorite things – Christmas and garden-fresh produce – will come together this Saturday as the State Street Farmer's Market celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a “Christmas in July” extravaganza. Please wear a tacky Christmas sweater (or Christmas-themed attire appropriate for the sweltering heat of recent weeks), plan to purchase your one-of-a-kind State Street Farmer’s Market ornament to commemorate this grand occasion, and look for Christmas-themed items from select vendors. Here's a brief history lesson: When City leaders first conceived the idea of a farmer’s market, they added it to a long wish list of ideas designed to revitalize downtown that also included a new library, restoration of the Bristol Train Station, a country music museum, and new retail opportunities.
