August 28, 2025 -- The Bristol Public Library is proud to announce the launch of a
new Audio Booth, offering the community a professional space to create high-quality audio for
podcasts, oral histories, music projects, voiceovers, and more.
This exciting addition builds upon the Bristol region’s rich legacy of storytelling and music—
—and invites a new generation to record, preserve, and share their own creative works.
The Audio Booth was made possible through the generous support of the Bristol Public Library
Foundation, whose funding provided both the booth and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure a
professional yet accessible recording experience.
The Audio Booth is free to use for all library cardholders. First-time users must complete a
brief orientation session before making a reservation to ensure they are comfortable with the
equipment and recording process. Teens under 18 must have parent or guardian permission, and
adult supervision may be required.
“Our region has always been known for its music and storytelling traditions,” said TJ DeWitt,
Director of the Jones Center of the Bristol Public Library. “This Audio Booth brings that legacy
into the digital age, giving community members the tools to create and share their own voices
and ideas.”
