About the event

“Our dear friend in music and life, Jamen Avery Denton, was taken from us before his time. The Appalachian region has lost one of its greatest songwriters. The inspirational legacy he leaves behind, and the great influence he has had on a generation of young musicians, is truly remarkable. Jamen shined in his ability to elevate those around him, and he drew the absolute best from all who had the privilege of making music with him. We will all feel the wake of his absence for many years to come.

Now it is time that we elevate him as we come together to celebrate Jamen’s life and the gifts he shared with us. A Celebration of Life Concert is scheduled at The Paramount Theater in Downtown Bristol, TN on Sunday, July 21, 2024. This is a Free concert to all who love Jamen and his music but tickets will need to be acquired at the ticket link due to a limited capacity. Please consider donating what you can to help his loved ones in this time of need. If you are unable to contribute financially, please make a point to share this with folks who might be able to. You can do so at the link here for the Jamen DentonMemorial Fund at any time. Please keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers, and get ready to join us in celebrating the life of one of our very best.  – Virginia Ground”
