Teachers in Service

Join the museum for a distinctively fun and educational professional development opportunity for educators, with an introductory museum tour, exploring the different Tennessee and Virginia state standards that connect with museum content including ELA, social sciences, music, STEM, and physical education. Also includes an introduction to museum-based lesson plans and/or learning activities such as Banjo Bingo, the Instrument Petting Zoo, and the History of Listening/Science of Sound. We will also be joined by educators from William King Museum of Art and Steele Creek Nature Center, along with broom-maker and educator Erin Simons for additional educational activities and resources.
